3 Things I can't Let Go - Thanks Gen for this tag

In my earthly life, the first thing I can't let go is of course disregarding my beliefs in Christ as my personal Savior. Since I was small it was implanted on my mind that doing what is right will always please God. And knowing Him is loving Him.

The second one is my hubby. After I got married I realized that its really hard for me to live without him. The longer we've been married the closer we are. And I understand that coz knowing one another better takes time. I'm so bad dependent on him especially this time that I'm not driving yet. When I need something in the store I always call him to take me. Besides, he is real good husband.

The last are my family and friends around the world. Sometimes, good friends are even better than family members. I can tell them many things which is happening in my life and they act as angels when troubles arrive. To me, Friends are like heavenly angels that watch over us. But ooops...I'm not done yet, don't make me wrong, be sure your friends are the good angels.

The Fruits of The Spirit

Apostle paul wrote in Galatians 5: 22, 23

The fruit of the spirit is love, joy, peace, patience, kindnes, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness and self control.

Demons in Life

I was enlightened by the message last night in our church. The pastor was talking about the demons in our lives. He said that there are lots of demons in our lives because satan wants to get us away from God. Satan does many things to destroy our trust in God. Satan tried our weaknesses, and that where he tempts us. In our appetite, satan knows that when we eat anything not knowing what is harmful to us it will make us sick sooner or later then we tend to blame God, and we'll lost our trust in Him. But the truth is satan is the source of all illness, grief and pain in this world.

Are there times in your life that you are depressed? It is satan's work.
What we must do is Look Upward, for there is hope. When you look downward, you will get depressed, when you look upward there is Jesus, and He will help you

Thanksgiving

Happy Thanksgiving to all Friends & Visitors of my Blog

Did you have a Great Thanksgiving today?
Me and my husband just got back from my sister-in-law's house having a thanksgiving dinner together. Isn't it cool? We had a lot of foods to eat. She had potato salad, Chicken Dressing, cole slaw from wagon wheel, Kentucky Fried Chicken, Creamed Corn and ham but of course I don't eat it but I'm sure they liked it, and Pecan Pie and Chocolate eclair as desserts. I also brought a Chicken Casserole and a pistacio salad.

We enjoyed eating together and I was pigged out.Perhaps, we still have an extended thanksgiving celebration tomorrow and the next day since we have a lot of foods and there's only four of us.
How about you guys? Hope everyone has a great Thanksgiving Dinner too. And I Praise God for this holiday season!

How To Stay Young

1. Throw out non-essential numbers. This includes age, weight and height. Let the doctors worry about them. That is why you pay "them "
2. Keep only cheerful friends. The grouches pull you down.
3.Keep learning. Learn whatever you can, like computer, crafts, gardening & etc.. Never let the brain idle. "An idle mind is the devil's workshop." And the devil's name is Alzheimer's.
4. Enjoy the simple things.
5. Laugh often, long and loud.
6. The tears happen. Endure, grieve, and move on. The only person, who is with us our entire life, is ourselves. Be ALIVE while you are alive. Invite your best friend JESUS to comfort you.
7. Surround yourself with what you love. (Pets, keepsakes, music, plants, & hobbies.) Your home is your refuge.
8. Cherish your health & every moment of your life. If it is good, preserve it. If it is unstable improve it. If it is beyond what you can improve, get help.
9. Don't take guilt trips. Take a trip to the mall, even to the next county; to a foreign country but NOT to where the guilt is.

10. Tell the people you love that you love them, at every opportunity.

AND ALWAYS REMEMBER:
“Life, is not measured by the number of breaths we take, but by the moments that take our breath away.”

My Prayer

Dear Lord,
I thank You for this day; I thank You for my being able to see and to hear this morning. I'm blessed because You are a forgiving God and an understanding God. You have done so much for me and You keep on blessing me. Forgive me this day for everything I have done, said or thought that was not pleasing to you. I ask now for Your forgiveness. Please keep me safe from all harm and danger. Help me to start this day with a new attitude and plenty of gratitude. Let me make the best of each and every day to clear my mind so that I can hear from You. Please broaden my mind that I can accept all things. Let me not whine and whimper over things I have no control over. And give the best response when I'm pushed beyond my limits. I know that when I can't pray, You listen to my heart. Continue to use me to do Your will. Continue to bless me that I may be a blessing to others. Keep me strong that I may help the weak... Keep me uplifted that I may have words of encouragement for others. I pray for those that are lost and can't find their way. I pray for those that are misjudged and misunderstood. I pray for those who don't know You intimately. I pray for those that don't believe that you are our Savior. But I thank you that I believe that God changes people and God changes things. I pray for all my Family members, brothers and sisters and all my friends and relatives. I pray for peace, love and joy in their homes that they are out of debt and all their needs are met. I pray that every eye that reads this knows there is no problem, circumstance, or situation greater than God. Every battle is in Your hands for You to fight. I pray that these words be received into the hearts of every eye that sees it. God I love you and I need you, come into my heart, please. Amen.

The Key Is Balance

" I have never seen a person who died of old age. In fact, I do not think anyone has ever died of old age yet." To die of old age would mean that all the organs of the body had worn out proportionally, merely by having been used too long. This is never the case. We invariably die because one vital part has worn out too early in proportiion to the rest of the body.

"There is always one part that wears out first and wrecks the whole human machinery, merely because the other parts cannot function without it."

" The lesson seems to be that as far as man can regulate his life by voluntary actions, he should seek to equalize stress throughout his being."

"The human body- like the tires on a car or the rug on floor-wears longest when it wears evenly."

Balance in here means self-control. We cannot live our lives in balance without self-control.

Sources: Health Power p.200

TEMPERANCE- The Balanced Life

" And the Lord God commanded the man, 'You are free to eat from any tree in the garden; but you must not eat from the tree of the knowledge of good and evil.'" Gen. 2:16,17

Text ColorTemperance is something you need to do in yourself in whatever aspects to have it balanced. It must be in your physical, mental, spiritual and social aspect in life. When one of these aspect is neglected, your life is out of balance and it might be crippled like a table which is lacked one of its legs. So we need to see to it that we have exercised the whole aspects of life.

Here is the explanation: In physical aspect we need to do the right thing like following the good habit of exercise, eat the right kinds of foods, drink enough water regularly and many others.

Aside from these we also need to socialize ourselves like singing with friends or attending some concerts or else our lives would be boring and to some people it will give a bad effects in their emotions.

In mental aspect, we need do planning ahead before doing it so that there will be no regrets in the future for the possible failures. Like when you buy a car or a house, these things are expensive and you need to plan what color, brand, design, and most of all know how much would it cost before purchasing it or you may use a credit which is just affordable to your pocket. In this manner your mental aspect is exercise. Not only that, another thing is make a savings plan or to the Lord like giving goods for the needy, or giving the tithes (ten percent of your net income) or church offering.

Then the spiritual aspect, like going to church or doing God's will. Always do what pleases God. Be in the right path so that you may have a good future. Always ask God's help in doing your daily task and don't forget to talk to Him each day, thank Him to whatever blessings you've got.

In life there is always some rules to follow in order for you to be in success. And there is also some restrictions, like during the time of Adam and Eve, they were restricted from eating the tree of knowledge of good and evil. So do we, we need to restrict ourselves in doing things that will lead us to destruction. Do not eat the foods that you know it's not good for you. Do not go to the evil place just to enjoy yourself or else you might be shot or killed.

Following God's footsteps is the safest way to do.Your life would be easy and happy. Then someday soon you will receive your reward in heaven. For it says, " Happy is the people whose God is the Lord".

Guidelines For Safe , Healthy Exposure to Sunlight

* Modest tanning is protective, like putting sunglasses on your skin. But you must understand your own tolerance to sunlight.
Fair-skinned people and redheads may have to to begin with only five minutes of exposure to sun per day.
Darker-skinned people can begin with 10 to 15 minutes per day. Up to 30 minutes of sunshine., exposing as much of the body as possible, is a realistic goal for most people.

* Never, never burn!

* If you have an outdoor trip or vacation coming up, prepare your skin by giving it progressive exposure in the days beforehand, to to the point of pinking up.

* A few minutes of sunshine on your face and hands each day will produce all the vitamin D you need.

* Open up your house to the sunshine each morning. it will improve your health and lift your spirits.

* Just remember that artificial light is a very poor substitute for the real thing. Spend a little time each day soaking up some daylight.

Vitamin D in Sunlight

"And God said, 'let there be light,' and there was light. God saw that the light was good, and He separated the light from the darkness." Gen1: 3,4

The body is able to manufacture vitamin D by the action of sunlight on the skin. Vitamin D enables the body to pick up calcium from the intestines for use in building healthy bones. Ut prevent both childhood and adult rickets and aids in the prevention of osteoporosis.

Sunlight

In NEW START the S signifies SUNLIGHT.

It says that excessive exposure to sunlight can cause skin cancer as well as pre mature wrinkling and aging of the skin. In proper amounts, however ,the sun's ray's can be good for your health.

Sunlight is an efficient germ killer. That's why it's important to sun and air out blankets, quilts and other items that are not washed regularly and sterilized in an automatic dryer.

Sunlight also helps to:

enhance the immune system
alleviate pain from swolen arthritic joints
relieve certain sysmptoms of PMS
Lower blood cholesterol levels

"Water" The No Calorie Wonder

Forcing the body to work with limited amounts of fluid is like trying to wash the dinner dishes in a cupful of water. When you don't drink enough water, the body must excrete wastes in a much more concentrated form, causing body odor, bad breath, and unpleasantsmelling urine.

Does It matter what beverages I drink? They all contain water, Don't they?

Our bodies are about 70 percent water and our kidneys process more than 47 gallons of it in a day. Without it we'd look more wrinkled than california raisins!

Water to the body is like oil to a car engine. it's the magic lubricant that makes everything else work. A drink of water is exactly what the body needs to carry out all its life processes.

Do the "no sugar" diet drinks solve these problem?

Diet beverages don't contain sugar, but they present other concerns. Nearly all beverages, sugared or not, contain chemicals that are added to color, flavor, preservation, and other reasons. Some of these may irritate elicate stomach linings, and some may also require the liver and kidneys to detoxify and dispose of them.
Drinking eliminates all of these problems. It has no extra calories to slow down digestion or to add unwanted fat. It has no irritants to stress the sensitive linings of the digestive tract, fewer chemicals to threaten dlicate body machinery, and no caffeine. It' readily available, and it's cheap!

How much water should I drink?

Drink enough to keep the urine pale. The body loses about 10 to 12 cups of water a day through the skin, lungs, urine, and feces. Food provides 2 to 4 cups of water, leaving us about 8 glasses of water to drink.
Get into the habit of drinking water liberally. Drink on arising, in mid morning, and midafternoon. A drink of water is like an internalshower.
Water is the perfect beverage, and one of life's greatest blessings.

"Thanks God For the Fresh Water that would cleanse my system."

Thoughts of the Day

"Evening, morning and noon I cry out in distress, and He hears my voice." Ps. 55:17

Our heavenly father yearns to have a personal, loving relationship with you. He wants to spend time with you, hear about your struggles and successes, encourage you and share His glorious plans for you. Prayer is a wonderful privilege- a chance for direct communication with our creator. no matter how busy He may be, He always has time in His schedule for you.

Prayer

Heavenly father, how grateful we are that we can talk to you! And how blessed we are that You listen and care! Thank You, loving Lord. Amen.

Health Tips

" Meat can be hazardous to your health. Start eliminating it from your diet by making your own delicious lunches." Health Power p.185
"The risk for cancer of the prostate, breast, and colon is three to four times higher for people who consume meat, eggs, and dairy products on a daily basis when compared to those who eat them sparingly or not at all. In addition, vegetarian women have stronger bomes and fewer fractures, and they lose less bone as they age." Health Power p.183

Nutrition

" Then God said, 'I give you every seed-bearing plant on the face of the whole earth and every tree that has fruit with the seed in it. They will be yours.'" Gen. 1:29

In NEW START, the letter N stands for Nutrition. Our body needs a good nutrition to obtain good health. So, what are the foods which consider in "good nutrition"?
  • Breads and Cereals - These foods have a high complex carbohydrate content and provide the body with energy. Sources: whole-grain bread, hot cereals, pasta and brown rice.
  • Fruits and vegetables - This group is a primary source of phytochemicals and anti-oxidants, vitamins and minirals. Sources: For vitamin A, select dark-green, orange, or yellow vegetables. For vitamin C, select citrus fruits, strawberries, tomatoes and potatoes.
  • Legumes - Beans rate high in soluble fiber, protein, and energy, as well as phytochemicals and anti-oxidants. Because they contian a plant hormone called phytoestrogens, soy beans are hard to beat among the beans.

The National Cancer Institute Recommends 9 a day to tap the healing power of fruits and vegetables, you have to help yourself to enough servings. Most americans don't. Do you?

According to Dr. Kopp, " The average risk of heart disease for a man eating meat, eggs and dairy products is 45 percent. The risk for a man who leaves off meatt is 15 percent. However, the coronary risk of vegetarian who leaves off meat, eggs, and dairy products drops to only 4 percent."

An editorial in the journal of the American Medical Association commented on these advantages. It said, " a total vegetarian diet can prevent up to 90 percent of our strokes and 97 percent of our heart attacks."

Dr Dean Ornish publish studies proving, beyond a shadow of a doubt, that a very-low-fat vegetarian diet could reverse heart disease in patients scheduled for coronary-bypass surgery.

Sayings for you!

" Higher than the highest human thought can reach is God's ideal for His children. Godliness-godlikeness-is the goal to be reached." Ed.p18

"Never take someone for granted Hold every person close to your heart because you might wake up one day and realize that you've lost a diamond while you were too busy collecting stones" unknown

Quotes1

" Love, the basis of creation and of redemption, is the basis of true education." Ed.p16

As we look forward let the love of God be our guide.

NEWSTART

The Essence of good health is
N - for Nutrition
E - for Exercise
W - for Water
S - for Sunshine
T - for Temperance
A - for Air
R - for Rest
T - Trust in Divine Power

for me this is the true meaning of good health. It covers everything in life.

Sunshine

Today is a beautiful day! I love to see around with the great sunshine working on me and my beautiful flowers and some vegetables. I love God and all His wondrous creation. How about that?

Did you know?

Did you know that.......?

An adult human body needs a minimum of 60 mg/day of vitamin C?

According to Dr.George Pamplona-Roger, M.D. "It must be borne in mind that this vitamin is not stored in the cells, and must be taken in every day" The best source of Vitamin C are the fresh fruits and vegetables. One should eat at least 2 Oranges, or 4 tangerines, or 2 kiwis and about 200g of litchis .

Health Tip

I wanna share what I've read today from the book of Dr. George Pamplona, author of Encyclopedia of Foods and their healing power.
It says, "Fruits, grains as well as vegetables are particularly rich in antioxidants and accompanying substances known as phytochemical elements, that act as true natural pharmaceuticals" Vol.1 p.24

I believe in natural foods as well as following the right diets, right choice of foods and lifestyle that corresponds to the laws of good health. Good health is a blessing from God. Praise God for that.
